After I first looked at the images I made of us during our breakup, I wanted to dedicate something to you and to the love we shared, the sacredness of what happened between us. But as I kept taking photos on this camera that you waited in line at the UPS depot center for me for, and kept putting the images in the document that is now this book, I realized that I made this for a more general you, for everything that touches my life, heals me, shapes me, reveals the great amount of love that is contained within this world and that I get to participate in. And you, that original you, you have been a huge part of the shape that I am but you are not everything, nor could I ever be everything to you. So thank you for being the starting point for this project, and thank you to everything else for being what comes after a split.
